Nana Konamah's Glamour Magazine Feature: Behind The Scenes

Earlier this year, I had the greatest honour of being photographed and interviewed, for Glamour Magazine’s October 2020 issue. This feature would have impossible without the collaborative effort of some of Ghana’s dopest creatives with words by Ekow Barnes, photos and retouching by DUQUE photography, art direction and styling by Kobby Adu, hair by 3130naturals and makeup by Debbie Bjuku.

In the October edition of Glamour South Africa which is quintessentially themed “Self-Care”, I let the world in on my platform of unadulterated self-love, belief in one’s self and potential in everyone.

In June 2020, after five years of nurturing and planning my dream, I launched my beauty brand Pure Persona by Nana.’ Inspired by the Akan Adinkra symbol ‘Sankofa,’ translates to "go back and get it", the brand thrives on beauty, confidence and dedication, whilst seeking one’s inner beauty.

Pure Persona by Nana celebrates ancient secrets of Africa passed down from generation to generation using pure natural ingredients to serve health-conscious products that empower the mind, and body and also enriches the soul of the user.

This issue of Glamour serves as a gentle reminder for us all to take a deep breath and do what makes us feel good as the year has been a tough one.
