How To Pursue Your Dreams // Ask NK

Hey fam! As you may already know, I recently launched my hair care and lifestyle brand, Pure Persona by Nana after 5 gruesome years of ideation, execution and planning. Let’s backtrack a little bit.

For a majority of my middle, high school and college years, my parents thought I was going to be a doctor. Heck, I thought I was going to be a doctor. I won the award for “best science student” back in middle school and that sealed the deal. After pursuing pre-med in college and getting a Master’s in Public Health, I realized that medical school wasn’t it.

There was a lot of anxiety attached to this decision, and I was hesitant to share this revelation with my family for fear that they wouldn’t support my decision.
