How To Fit A Wellness Routine Into A Busy Schedule
Here’s the thing: wellness is critical. If we want to be successful in our lives, businesses, jobs, and finances means we have to take care of ourselves; because our health is our first and foremost wealth.
But maintaining a wellness routine as a busy afropolitan can be hard to keep and frankly, it can requires a lot of effort for already busy person. However, planning out a wellness routine can help you stay clear and consistent and if done correctly, won’t take too much of your time. In my latest video.
4 Step- by- Step Strategies to Fit a Wellness Routine into a Busy Schedule
- MAKE A PLAN - Begin by determining what exactly you’d like to get out of your wellness routine. Is it focus? Then you might want to consider meditation. Is it a better physical state, then consider an exercise routine. Is it to help you manage and reduce stress? Then maybe consider adding yoga or other calming activities to your schedule. 
- Think through the habits and behaviors that help you feel better, write it down to help you gain a sense if the things you may want to fit into your wellness routine. Chances are you know of a few things that help you feel better, and if it comes to mind, it is likely something you also enjoy. My advice: stick with what you know and have tried and are sure works for you. You’ll more likely stick to it. 
 
2. Write a MORNING CHECKLIST: Once you are clear about the goals of establishing a wellness routine, and the habits you are comfortable fitting in your routine, I suggest to start with a morning checklist. A morning checklist is a plan you build to help you start your day off right. A typical checklist can be 3 items or 30 items long and can be hand written or on your phone. I have a video on my YouTube on my healthy morning routine. You can view it again to give you a sense of things you can add to your routine.
3. Once you have a plan SCHEDULE IT! - You’ve heard it said many times and many ways: “ if you want to remember something, WRITE IT DOWN.” In this case if you want to build a lasting habit, SCHEDULE IT! Scheduling it tells your brain that “this is important.” It helps create a sense of urgency around a task when it is scheduled right next to all the other important things in your calendar. When I wanted to get serious about yoga, I would schedule it, so I would remember the importance of it; peep the screenshot from December 2018.
4. JOIN A TRBIE !- Joining a tribe is a great way to stay accountable. You can join a yoga studio or our private facebook group: Just Glow With it Network to connect with like minded individuals who are also walking the path of authenticity.
